Common Shopify problems we fix
Checkout or payments not working
Customers reach the checkout but orders do not go through, a payment method has disappeared, or shipping rates are showing the wrong prices.
Theme broken after an update
A theme update or an edit to the code has left sections missing, the layout out of line or buttons that no longer respond.
Apps clashing with each other
A new app has changed how product pages or the cart behave, or an app you removed has left code behind in your theme.
Products or collections not showing
Products are missing from collections or search, variants show the wrong price, or items appear as sold out when they are in stock.
Slow store pages
Pages take a long time to load on phones, often because of large images, unused app scripts or heavy theme features.
Domain and email problems
Your own domain is not connecting to Shopify, the store shows a security warning, or order emails are going to spam.
Layout problems on phones
Menus, images or product options that work on a computer but look wrong or cannot be tapped on a phone.
Changes to your store
Updating banners, menus, product templates, delivery wording or policies when you would rather not learn the theme editor.
If your problem isn’t listed, describe it in your own words when you send your request and we’ll tell you whether we can help.
How access works on Shopify
You set up access once for each website. It stays in place, so the next time you need help we can start without asking again.
- 1You tell us your myshopify.com address when you send your request.
- 2We send a collaborator request from our Shopify Partner account. If your store uses a collaborator request code, you give us the 4 digit code first.
- 3You approve the request in your Shopify admin under Settings, then Users. You can choose exactly which areas we can see.
A collaborator account does not use a staff seat on your plan and you never share your password. You can remove our access from the same page at any time.
Shopify questions
Will you need my Shopify password?
No. We send a collaborator request, which you approve from your own admin. It gives us our own login to your store, and you can remove it whenever you like.
Does a collaborator account cost anything on my Shopify plan?
No. Collaborator accounts are separate from staff accounts, so they do not count towards the number of staff your plan allows.
Can you work on my theme without breaking the live store?
Where a change affects the theme, we make a copy of it first and work on the copy. You can check the change before it is published.
Do you fix problems caused by Shopify apps?
Yes. We find which app is causing the problem and either fix the conflict or explain the options, such as changing a setting or replacing the app.
